Premium Refinishing Process
- Thoroughly sweep and vacuum the floor.
- Depending on damage sand floor with 36 or 40 and 50 grit(Dustless Optional)
- Edge sanding with 40 grit
- Rough cuts & filler on the floor(Repairs)
- Once dry, edge sanding with 80 grit
- Sand with 60 or 40 grit full pass
- Final inspection, fill any remaining gaps
- Scrape & hand sand all corners
- Final pass on the multidisc with 100 grit
- Extensive vacuum/clean process
- If nature finish, apply coat sealer
- Apply Bona 2k Stain
- Following day buff with 220 grit for a smooth surface, vacuum, wet tack the floor and apply last coat of stain
- If a dark stain is to be applied on the floor we water popp the entire floor with a sprayer
- Apply two coats of finish in one day waiting 4 hours in between coats if using a waterbased finish
- Next day buff the floor with 220 grit to knock down the grain raise and make a smooth surface
- Vaccum wet tack the entire floor, let it dry and apply last final coat of waterbased finish
- Oil-based polyurethane is one coat per day and only two coats total.
